PMI’s national IS-SIG (Information Systems - Special Interest Group) organization has begun an initiative to provide organized support to IS activities connected with local PMI Chapters. The support will be directed towards "Affiliates" formed by local Chapters.

We are beginning to organize to determine how much interest there is in forming a local IS-SIG Affiliate.

What would a local Affiliate do?

• Channel national IS-SIG support to local activities to take advantage of the support they offer.

• Meet periodically to provide networking opportunities and focus on IS issues through activities like panel discussions, speaker events and seminars.

• Compliment normal Chapter activities and increase service to the IS membership.

• Develop activities to include items of special relevance to IS project managers, giving them the opportunity to network.
