Newsletter
(Within Scope)
The newsletter is published on our web site, and printed copies are made available at
Chapter meetings for distribution to potential members. An e-mail message is sent to
all of our members (a distribution list of over 500) when a new
issue of the newsletter is published to the Chapter web site. Since all of the
newsletters are archived on the Chapter web site, they remain accessible to our
chapter members, providing continued exposure for the advertiser.
Advertisements in the web-based Newsletter will be printed in full
color. In printed newsletters, advertising will only appear in black and white
(grayscale).

Small text or image advertisements can
now be purchased for display on our chapter website homepage.
These may be configured to launch to an advertisers web site when
clicked. Images are restricted in formats of .jpg and .gif (gif
files may be animated). Advertisements are also restricted to a
maximum size of
150w x 100h
pixels. Advertisements must be
submitted in a ready-to-use format.
general guidelines
- Advertisements may be submitted by any organization or
individual.
All items submitted for publication are subject to
editorial review for confirmation that there is professional appeal or interest to the
Chapter membership. Advertisements that do not meet this criteria will be rejected.
Generally, advertisements should be focused on products, services, and organizational
awareness (content that has some relationship with the field of project management and
professional/business life).
- Announcements made on behalf of PMI International or other PMI
chapters will not be considered advertising, and thus, no fees will be charged.
- The PMI - Milwaukee / Southeast Wisconsin Chapter reserves
the right to exclude an advertisement in any Chapter publication or on the
Chapter web site.
types of advertising
- Public Service Advertising shall consist of project
management related "Job Opportunity" notices placed by employers or
recruiters. Individual Chapter members seeking permanent employment may submit a
"Member Resume." Public Service Advertising will be provided free of
charge as a service to our members and will only be placed on the Chapter web site.

- Paid Advertising shall consist of all other
advertising.
submittal requirements
- All advertisements must be publication-ready.
This means that they must be electronically-transferable writing and graphics,
camera-ready art or logos, and/or typed information. Publication-ready information
must be submitted by the deadlines defined below.
- Publication-ready information, and the name and telephone number of a
contact person (for questions about the material) should be submitted directly to
the Vice President of Communications via e-mail.
It will then be reviewed and forwarded to the publication Layout Manager.
submittal deadlines
- All newsletter advertisements must be submitted
to the Vice President of Communications by the
15th day of the month prior to publication. At this time, the chapter
publishes newsletters in March (Spring), June (Summer), September (Fall) and December
(Winter).
No submittal deadlines are put on
advertising that will be placed on the Chapter web site. Accepted
advertisements will be posted at the earliest opportunity by the webmaster for
the term defined by the Vice President of Communications.
Advertisements may also be considered for placement
in other chapter announcements on a space available, first come first served basis.
Deadlines for these
advertisements will be provided by the
Vice President of Communications at the time of inquiry.
rates
- At the discretion of the Board of Directors, announcements
and other information of interest may be published at no charge.
