When new project managers join a PMO they need to absorb a lot of information. Each company has its own mix of stakeholders, processes, culture, and industry knowledge. A good onboarding process will help to keep delivery consistent across the PMO and put newcomers in a good position for success. The faster it works, the sooner new project managers become fully functioning members of the team.
So what’s the best way to onboard new project managers? Does it makes sense to pair them with a mentor or have them circulate around? What kinds of early assignments are good for developing skills while still providing value? How long should all of this take?
Join us at FIS where we’ll dig into these questions with a panel of experts and attendees from around the Milwaukee area. You’ll hear what other organizations do in real life and how well it’s working for them. Everyone is sure to leave with a few new ideas that they can use.
